Fringe! is a film and arts festival rooted in London’s gay creative scene and welcoming everyone. Fringe! Fest 2015 will be hosting a multitude of events, including a thematic session named Brazil in Focus. In Favela Gay (photo), directed by Rodrigo Felha, the favelas of Rio de Janeiro are the setting for the life stories of a variety of gay people who are living in an environment of homophobia and prejudice. In Nova Dubai, directed by Gustavo Vinagre, four gay friends navigate the rapidly changing environment of their neighbourhood by trying to reclaim their communal spaces. There will also be some Brazilian short films to be screened.
